Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary - a great place to see the orangutans as it is a definite, however... it does get extremely busy and unfortunately many people did not seem to understand 'silence please' so the orangutans didn't stick around for too long. After waiting about an hour after everyone left, I managed to see a beautiful old female who came out of the bushes but no more.
There are some great places to stay not far from the sanctuary which avoids having to stay in Sandakan. The last picture is a taste of the place I was at (Paganakan Dii). You can either rent rooms or stay in a longhouse with bunkbeds (29RM including a cooked breakfast).I'd definitely recommend it!
