Pattaya, world famous for it's jingling nightlife, prostitution and sleaze is working hard on the own image. Improving it may be a bit more difficult than the simple minded touristic touts think it may be.
A public transport system failed over and over, initiated with a big budget - hailed and celebrated. Today all you have are rip-off-bodyhaulers by pickup-truck, which add to the daily traffic dilemma and the smog in this resort.
The touristic offices and agencies have always tried to silence critics on their infrastructure, but in a typical Thai manner they just add to the promotion budget. Chonburi Province has a lot to offer, this trashbeach isn't far from Pattaya, also in Chonburi Province:
