Although the town council did not take action to reduce light, a sizeable group gathered in front of the cathedral in the Plaza de Armas in Cusco.
After a short photoshoot, they group set off for a march round the large plaza, chanting & encouraging shops, restaurants Bars & even discos to turn off lights.
About half the locations round the Plaza joined in to huge cheers form the growing crowd.
After the march the group gathered back in front of the Cathedral again, which enabled me to take a few images, "writing" with my torch the words Earth Hour in front of the group to huge cheers.
A very enthusiastic bunch indeed.
