I should win this competition because inside of me there is the most adventurous spirit which has never before been given the chance to be unleashed! I have always wanted to go diving, gliding, on a safari, hot air ballooning and just about anything else that would get the adrenaline going.
The most adventurous thing I have managed to do so far is tobogganing, which although it was great fun, it wasn’t quite adventurous enough! I’m still a student so it seems it will be quite unlikely that I’ll have the money to go exploring around the world for quite a while; I recently got engaged and terrified my fiancée by telling her that she had better get a good pair of hiking boots for our honeymoon! She has visions of us being dropped in the middle of the jungle and then faced with the challenge of having to find civilisation again...
I think that would be a fantastic honeymoon!

One year for my birthday my mother bought me a book with this motto on the front ‘no fear, no surprise, no hesitation, no doubt’ and this is exactly how I like to live life and this would be my attitude throughout the African adventure.
This is the perfect chance for me to truly discover just how adventurous I can be!
