My name is "Mungo", well that is my nickname that EVERY ONE (except my parents!) call me these days.
I have been working as TV Cameraman for almost 15 years and during that time have traveled to over 70 countries filming and last year I wrote a book! "Mungo - The Cameraman" - available from all good bookshops.
My passion is adventure, travel, photography and people. I count myself extremely lucky that my career allows me to take part in all of the above AND I get paid for doing them!
In the last few years my business partner (Richard Farish) and I set up "Expedition Media", which is a one stop shop for anyone who wishes to make Adventure TV.
Check it out: www.expeditionmedia.co.uk
Last year I was fortunate enough to join Charley Boorman and Russ Malkin on the "BY ANY MEANS" trip (BBC2), traveling overland and sea from Ireland to Sydney, Australia.
Let's see what adventures this year brings!

30 OCTOBER AT 6:30 p.m. NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC LONDON STORE, 83-97,Regent Street, London http://www.nglondonstore.co.uk/Newsletter/october2010/index.html The Astronomical and Geographic Society of Ciudad Real (SAGCR) accomplished between 2005 and 2007 a double Polar Exped ...ition following the achievements of other great arctic and antarctic adventurers. The first expedition took them and their telescopes to the North of Greenland carrying out a voyage in the purest traditional style by dogsled, knowing the Inuit’s lifestyle and enduring extreme temperatures. The second one gave this Society the prize of being the first known worldwide expedition in achieving the Antarctic Polar Circle in a 14 metres boat. They also performed the first videoconference in history between the outer space (specifically and particularly with the NASA Commander and also Honorary member of the SAGCR) Michael López-Alegría in the ISS and the Antarctica; a voyage of 32 days in which they passed three storms with winds of 70 knots and waves of 14 metres high, a crash with an iceberg, the lack of fuel, …, a really great adventure within the XXI century. They will tell their story with their pictures and a documentary, as well as their other expeditions and will explain their next adventure: The Spanish Transamazonic Expedition 2012, which will be the first worldwide expedition along the Amazon river by “ultralight” from its source to its end. As they say “Don Quixote have ridden amongst us through the polar ice in the Arctic and Antarctic, within the Mayan ruins, and now will do it sailing the “river of rivers”. "
